Golden Rage and Die Hard
Hullo there,
I had planned to write here more frequently, but the autumn sent me an orgy of viruses to deal with instead. My lungs are still on cleanup. I’m immediately regretting this metaphor.
The essay I’d been planning on easing back into live events will have to wait (taking in poetry readings, wearing masks at Punchdrunk, and prerecorded songs at ABBA Voyage), but I figured I’d check in quickly to say hey, I’m still alive, and catch you up on some bits of news.
- PERVERSE, the poetry magazine I edit, has just finished. It’s been a really wonderful issue with lots of mad poems. You can read them all and sign up for the next issue news here. I’m also hosting an event in London to celebrate the issue tonight, so please come down to the Wheatsheaf at 7pm if you can!
- This Saturday I’m running a festive workshop on “writing poems inspired by DIE HARD” online for the Poetry School, and they’ve just put it on sale. Go to this page and add the code “bauble” at checkout to get 50% off! It’s Christmas, Theo! It’s the time of miracles! I also wrote a blogpost for them about it here.
- Lauren Knight is hard at work on the next series of GOLDEN RAGE, which is very exciting! She’s inking the first issue back, and I’ve just finished writing the second issue back. So we’re in the very early stages of the next series, but it’s definitely happening! A few little sneak peeks on her instagram if you dare, like this one:
- Tom Humberstone is proofing our longer-form poetry comic atm - it’s so pretty. Really looking forward to seeing the end product!
I think that’s it for now. Hopefully I’ll be slightly more regular in my communications next year, virus-orgies (sorry) permitting. Look after yourself in the meantime.
